Happy World Book Day! The Mini Reviewers are all dressed up and ready to share lots of stories today, we hope you are too! Last year we wrote about our favourite storytelling ideas for World Book Day and this year we hope to encourage even more little ones to keep reading by sharing the latest news and a fantastic competition from Scholastic.
Firstly, did you know that you can spend your child's World Book Day voucher online with Scholastic? Well we had no idea! Also Scholastic have recently launched their fantastic World Book Day Book Club and there are absolutely loads of great titles to choose from. As always the selected books are heavily discounted and with every order over £10, 25% worth of books will be given to your nominated school or nursery.
We had great fun browsing Scholastic's World Book Day Book Club and selecting a few of the Mini Reviewers' current favourites to share with you. Here are five brilliant books that are an absolute bargain at under £4 each:
Ella by Alex T. Smith £3.99
Superbat by Matt Carr £2.99
Mini Reviewer, Izzie, has even dressed as Ella for World Book Day! Scholastic's full range of books can be found here.
#KeepReading Competition
Scholastic have also launched a great World Book Day competition to encourage children to keep reading and make every day a book day - something we strongly believe in!!
They are asking children to send in a video or a written review about a book they have recently enjoyed for the chance to win £30 worth of books for themselves and £30 for their school or nursery (which must be registered with Scholastic).
There are three different age categories 0-6 years, 7-11 years and 11+ years and there is one prize available for each category.
To enter send the review using the the hashtag #KeepReading and tagging Scholastic (@ScholasticUK) and World Book Day (@WorldBookDayUK) on Twitter. Entries need to be received by midnight on Thursday 29th March 2018. UK only.
Good luck if your little bookworms enter the #KeepReading Competition and
Happy Reading to you all this World Book Day!

*Thank you to Scholastic for providing a bundle of books for Mini Reviewer Theo's nursery school in exchange for this post. All opinions are as always our own. Scholastic is responsible for the running of the #KeepReading Competition.
We love a good book in our house, will check out the competition but will have to get our skates on! Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next time.
ReplyDeleteI'm a firm believer in reading every day. And I never knew you could spend your vouchers online either. I'm going to mention this competition to our 8yo, thanks! #kcacols
