We were recently invited to visit The Baby Room at Smyths in Leeds. Until receiving our invite we had no idea that Smyths had a dedicated baby department selling everything from bath toys and bouncy chairs to larger items such as car seats and travel systems.
When we arrived at store we headed upstairs to The Baby Room and, with two little ones in tow, I was pleased to find a lift! There are also baby changing facilities in store, which is very handy! Upstairs we were warmly greeted by members of the Smyths' baby team, who showed us some of the latest car seats and pushchairs.
Car Seats
We currently own five car seats and we could really do with a sixth as we are constantly swapping the fifth between cars to accommodate the three kids. However, car seat shopping is something that always fills me with fear so I have been putting off the purchase for some time. I was keen to see what Smyths had to offer.
I was surprised by Smyth's vast range including seats by Joie, Graco, Britax and Cosatto amongst others. I was especially impressed as there were several options allowing children to rear face for longer, something that I have always been passionate about. Smyths offer a FREE car seat fitting service, which is so important to ensure you get the right fit in your own car. The staff seemed really well informed about the specifications of all their seats.
Babies, Books and Buggies!
We also enjoyed browsing the entire department. We spotted baby baths, monitors, highchairs, alongside the car seats, pushchairs and travel systems. The kids' loved looking at all the toys on offer and we were delighted to discover a huge selection of books too!
We will definitely be back to look at the books and will consider Smyths for all our future car seat purchases and maybe that dream buggy!
The Baby Room Baby Event
The official launch of The Baby Room at Smyths is 16th March and to celebrate the new catalogue and launch of The Baby Room ALL stores will be running a baby event from 13th - 26th March. There will be great offers in store including 20% off car seats and travel systems. The 24th March is car fitting Saturday.
