We have another new Festive Delight to share with you today. Last Stop On The Reindeer Express has been written by Maudie Powell-Tuck, illustrated by Karl James Mountford and published by Little Tiger.
It is a beautiful and poignant story about a little girl called Mia who can't be with her Dad at Christmas. Having made him a special card she discovers a mysterious postbox at the Christmas Market. She then meets a new friend and so begins her extraordinary journey, but will she make her delivery in time for Christmas?
The detailed illustrations exude a festive warmth really drawing you into the story. We join Mia on her journey over the twinkling sea, through beautiful cities and past the cold snowy mountains. The intricate design of the book with its hidden doors and peek-through cut outs add additional intrigue, ideal for younger readers.
This is a truly magical adventure reminding us of the importance of family at Christmas time and could be perfect for families that are unable to be together at this special time of year. We would recommend the actual story for children age 3 years and upwards, although the delightful pictures can be enjoyed by even the littlest of bookworms. This is a visual delight!
There are still 16 more Festive Delights to come. Please do keep sharing your favourite Christmas reads either in the comments below or on social media using #FestiveDelights - we always love to hear from you!
