Getting Crafty with Goodnight Spaceman #WorldSpaceWeek

To celebrate World Space Week (4th - 10th October) we have been getting crafty with Goodnight Spaceman thanks to Puffin Books and Ora. We made a fabulous space scene following this very easy tutorial on Puffin's website, which takes advantage of Ora's uniquely shaped round kitchen towels (although any paper towel could be used). This little project is suitable for the whole family, even Mini Reviewer, Poppy (1), got stuck in! Just take a peek at how we got on.

First we unpacked our goodies from Puffin and someone was very excited to see a copy of Goodnight Spaceman.

Then it was time to get started on our art project. We decorated our kitchen towel "planets" using wax crayons and water colour paints. Everyone got involved...

Finally we placed our planets in the sky and sprinkled them with twinkly stars and glittery space dust before adding an Ora rocket!

The Mini Reviewers were delighted with their sparkly space scene. The rocket shaped Ora was also a big hit and, more importantly, super for cleaning up the mess!

Ora are currently running a promotion on their limited edition single stacks. There is a free Puffin audiobook of Goodnight Spaceman by Michelle Robinson and Nick East and read by astronaut Tim Peake.  The promotion ends on 31st October. You can find out more here.

We will be sharing more books for World Space Week on Instagram.

Do you have a favourite space-themed read?

*Disclaimer we received some art supplies, kitchen towel and a copy of Goodnight Spaceman for the purpose of this post.
